OUR CHURCH GROUPS
Our adult Sunday School classes play a major roll in our ministers to the community and to our church. They help provide the physical, monetary and spiritual resources that ensure our ability to provide spiritual growth in our members and our community.
COFFEE CUP CLASS:
A class of people who love their Lord, coffee, cookies, pastries and the fellowship that goes with it. This quarter our class is studying teachings on community. The first four weeks we studied scripture that focused on community with a mission. The second four weeks we are studying scripture that focuses on the teachings of Jesus. In May we will be studying scripture that will focus on teachings of the church. We invite you to come, have a cup of coffee and something sweet with your scriptures, and be a part of our fellowship.
FIRESIDE CLASS:
The Fireside Class is an all inclusive active adult class. Our course of study includes spritual, inspirational and motivational materials. We are currently studying the origin of the old testament books of Genesis,Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, as presented by Richard Elliott Friedman. We place strong emphasis on fellowship and support for the members of our class. our church, and our community. Join us around the Fireside and see why Sunday school isn't just for Sunday any more.
HATCHER CLASS:
The Hatcher Class is made up of adults of all ages. We offer adults a chance to learn by studying and discussing topics that vary from Bible, to current social issues, and all aspects of Methodism, as they relate to everday life. We are currently studying a series of five books as well as the Epistles of Paul. We invite you to come learn and share your views with us.
KALIDESCOPE CLASS:
Like the different colors of a Kaleidoscope, we are a mixture of different ages and lifestyles, being able to change and mix to one beautiful group, whose purpose is to serve God. We study various books about the people, places, and events in the Bible, and most of all on the life of Jesus Christ. Our current course of study on Jacob and Ruth, the Gospels and the Epistles is from the Methodist Bible series. Lively discussions are always a part of our study, come and be a part of the Kaleidoscope, your color will enhance our class.
